We will re-open for the season (7 days a week) beginning April 26th with our new 7,200 s.f. greenhouse. Stop by to visit our new addition and see the colorful display of annuals in flats and hanging baskets! We also carry vegetable plants, strawberry plants and cedar mulch. Our bakery will be open with fresh baked pies, cookies and breads and of course the delicious cider donuts. We anxiously await juicy strawberries, scrumptious cherries, fresh from the garden asparagus, peas, lettuce and rhubarb. Don't forget we carry Hershey's Ice Cream with a long list of flavors to choose from. As the days warm up, you can stop in for a cup, cone or milkshake of any flavor. You'll have to stop in to try our strawberry shortcake. Delicious and fresh from the farm!
In July the blueberries will be ready for picking. We will also be picking Lodi, which is a tart apple, and we will begin picking peaches, plums, nectarines, corn, summer squash, tomatoes, beans, beets, chives, dill, parsley and fresh cut flowers. We will also have already picked raspberries and blackberries in our stand and at market. We attend many farmer's markets. Some start in May and some start as late as July 4th week. Check out our different farmers' market locations. Thru the growing season, we will have eggplant, winter squash, cabbage, turnips, cucumbers, peppers, pumpkins, gourds, melons, fiddlehead, collard greens, onions, potatoes, plus much more.
We bake a variety of fruit pies along with cookies, donuts, and breads. We also make our own jams, award winning dill and bread & butter pickles, fudge, candy apples and caramel apples. We stock delicious Vermont maple syrup, Guida's milk, and jumbo sized eggs for $2.00 per dozen! For your favorite hound we sell our own homemade dog biscuits.
We look forward to Fall for our apple season. We grow many varieties, from the old fashion favorites to the most popular varieties available. They are Macintosh, Cortland, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Opalescent, Empire, Granny Smith, McCouns, Wolf River, Baldwin, Russet and Honey Crisp. We also grow Bosc Pears, Bartlett Pears and Seckel Pears. Check out our suggestions for apples and their uses.
At Christmas time, we make wreaths, garland and kissing balls all by hand. Stop by to tag your Christmas tree any time after Thanksgiving. You can order Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday pies in-person or over the phone.
